OxiplexTS200, the new Non-invasive Tissue Oximeter for Clinical Applications

Champaign, Illinois - September 1, 2016 - ISS has introduced OxiplexTS200, the clinical version of the non-invasive, quantitative, tissue oximeter for the measurement of oxy- and deoxy-hemoglobin concentration and oxygen saturation in tissues. The compact and portable stand-alone instrument incorporates a touchscreen computer and features two measurement channels; placed on a cart, it can be used as a bedside patient monitor or, using up to 10 m long fibers sensors, it can be located far away from the patient in an OR/ER environment. Signals from up to 4 external devices can be imported and merged with the hemodynamics signals of the instrument; 4 signals output can be sent to a console collecting the oximetry data and the data from other devices in the clinical setting. Rigid and flexible sensors are available for a variety of applications (muscle and brain) and population range (infants, children and adults).

Presently, the instrument can be used for medical research only. ISS is in the process of filing the 510(k) pre-market notification with the Food and Drug Administration.
